About Mysore
Mysore,
has recently been in the news for all the right reasons. Located 139 kms away
from Bangalore, it has become a preferred investment destination. Business is
booming and Mysore is a thriving economy replete with major IT and BPO
companies. But what perhaps makes Mysore attractive is its seamless marriage of
the old and new. It is a great place to live in. Wide open spaces, sprawling
grounds lined with trees, a rich and varied culture, an ancient heritage,
hospitals, schools, golf courses, amusement parks, theaters, movie halls
– there is an abundance of it all in Mysore.

The
cost of living is relatively low, and the average professional in Mysore earns
significantly more than he can spend. As for savings, Mysore is dotted with
investment opportunities – banks, mutual fund companies, share brokers
– you name it and Mysore has it. Real estate prices are also relatively
lower and rent hardly puts a strain on the pocket. The climate is temperate all
year round. The comparatively high altitude (it is located 770 meters above sea
level) gives the city this unique advantage – the average day temperature
is a pleasant 26 degrees centigrade even in the peak of summer. Adding to the
atmosphere is the fact that Mysore is a city that breathes easier than its
counterparts like Bangalore, pollution levels being comparatively much lower.

There is a profusion of good hospitals in the city, with qualified medical professionals at their helms. Other amenities are easy to find and specialist medical care units such as eye hospitals and nursing homes are plenty. The All India Institute of Speech and Hearing is also located here.
Commute time in Mysore is relatively short, owing to lesser traffic and better roads, making for an enjoyable drive from home to office and vice versa. The public transport system is also in good shape and buses and autos form the lifeblood of the commuting public in the city.
There are also plenty of tourist hotspots in Mysore. One of Mysore’s selling points is that it has chosen to retain and promote its heritage rather than replace it.
